FAQ'S

  • How long does the hair need to be?
    We ask that the hair be at least one fourth of an inch or the size of a grain of rice or sprinkle. To better help you gauge your hair growth, we recommend the hair to be 2 weeks post your last shave or 4 weeks post your last wax.
  • How can I prepare for my wax?
    -Exfoliate 24 hours prior to your appointment to help breakdown any built-up dead skin cells around the base of the hair. -Take a warm shower or bath right before to expand the pores and loosen up the hairs from the hair follicle. -Wear loose clothing -Avoid caffeine and alcohol 24 hours prior to the appointment -If you’d like, take an Ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to your appointment
  • Can I wax during that time of the month?
    Absolutely! Our professionals are experienced and comfortable with taking care of your waxing needs during that time of the month. We do require you to wear a clean insertion such as a tampon, or menstrual cup.
  • Can I get waxed while pregnant?
    Yes, you can? Our wax specialists will ensure your comfortability by adjusting and inclining the wax table to your liking. Please keep in mind you may experience a little more sensitivity during your wax. If you are uncertain about getting wax while pregnant you may consult with your doctor.
  • What type of wax do you use?
    We use a 100% vegan hard wax! It’s hypoallergenic and completely fragrance free. It also has a low melting point which puts our clients at ease when it comes to concerns of wax being too hot. The perfect wax for clients with thick---coarse hair, the finest of hairs or even the most sensitive skin.
  • Is there an age limit on getting waxed?
    Face and body waxing can begin once both the child and parent are comfortable. We require parental or legal guardian consent to perform any waxing services on anyone under the age of 17. We also ask that the adult remain present on the premises during the service but does not have to be attendant inside of the treatment room.
  • How do I manage my appointments?
    You may cancel, reschedule, add-on services and so much more by logging into your Vagaro account at www.vagaro.com/waxedlwl or by downloading the Vagaro app.
  • Is there a cancellation policy?
    At WAXED Luxury Wax Lounge, we require a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule any appointments. Any appointments cancelled or reschduled after the 24 hour mark will be charge a late cancellation fee of 50% of the service. No exceptions. Please note that the booking system does not allow for any changes to be made online once the 24 hour mark is met, at which you will need to contact our office at 832 754 7840 or 832 754 7837 to make any adjustments. No call-no shows will result in a 100% charge of the appointment scheduled.
  • What if I am running late to my appointment?
    If you are running late to your appointment, we ask that you contact your service provider immediately via call or text. We provide a grace period of 8 minutes to all appointments. Please note that you must be inside of the building by the 8th minute. Any arrivals after the grace period will result in the scheduled appointment being cancelled and charged as a late cancellation. Thank you for understanding!
  • How often should I get waxed?
    *Face waxing every 2-3 weeks *Underarms every 2-4 weeks *Brazilians every 4-6 weeks *Other body areas every 4-6 weeks Each and every clients skin and hair growth is different. Your wax specialist with assess your skin during the appointment and recommend the best treatment plan for you to receive the most optimal results!
  • Does waxing hurt?
    Everyone’s pain threshold is different, so it is difficult to say how much, little or if waxing will hurt at all for you. However, we strive to provide you with the most comfortable experience possible and throughout the entirety of your service! Our experienced wax specialists have been trained on a number of techniques to help you get through your service with ease!
  • Do you offer a membership?
    We don’t offer any memberships, however we do have a Loyalty Points Program that you are automatically enrolled in as soon as you checkout your first appointment. You earn 1 point for every $1 you spend on services and can start redeeming your points at 1000 for $10 off or keep building your points for bigger savings on your favorite services!
